Our privacy promise
In plain words, because the people reading this are children and their parents.
Draft pending legal review
This policy describes exactly what the product does today. It has not yet been reviewed by a data-protection lawyer — that review is required before any paid acquisition.
What we collect
- A first name, a username, a class/standard, and an email address so an account can exist and be recovered.
- A parent's email address, used for one purpose: asking permission, and telling you about your child's progress if you ask us to.
- What happens in a game: which stage was played, which concepts were mastered, how many attempts it took, and how long it took.
- How well the app performed: how many seconds a stage took to load, a rough device category (for example "entry-level Android") and a rough network category (for example "4G"). We use these to make the games load faster on ordinary phones.
What is optional
- School and city are optional. You can leave them blank and everything works exactly the same.
- If given, a city is only ever used inside totals like "players in Hyderabad solved 40,000 stages this week" — never attached to your child in anything public.
What we never do
- We never show a child's name together with their school and city publicly. Not on a leaderboard, not anywhere.
- We never target advertising at a child, and we do not load third-party advertising or profiling code.
- We never open a chat, a friend list, or any way for a stranger to contact a child.
- We never ask for or track location.
- We never post anything publicly. A mastery card is shared only when someone taps share and chooses who receives it.
Parental consent
- GamesToGrades is for Classes 3–10, so every player is a minor under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- When a child signs up we email a parent one link. Until that parent approves, the account is not active: no stage loads and no play data is processed.
- A parent can withdraw permission at any time from the parent page. The games lock again and we stop processing data.
How analytics work
- Game analytics use a random ID generated on the device. That ID is not derived from a name or an email and cannot be reversed into either.
- Names, emails, school and city are never included in analytics data. This is enforced in code on both the browser and the server, not just by policy.
Your rights
- You can ask to see the data we hold about your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Logging out with "Log out" on a shared family device clears the child's profile, progress and any unsent analytics from that device.
